# Setting up an EVM Wallet

\. Visit Metamask website (<https://metamask.io/>) and click on "Get Chrome Extension" button or "Get Firefox Add-On" button depending on the browser you are using.

\. Click on "Add to Chrome" or "Add to Firefox" button to download and install the extension.

\. Once the installation is complete, click on the Metamask icon in your browser's toolbar and follow the prompts to set up your account.

\. Create a new wallet and backup your seed phrase (a sequence of 12 or 24 words) somewhere safe. This seed phrase is very important as it allows you to restore your wallet if you lose access to it. **NOTE: WITHOUT THIS SEED PHRASE, YOUR CRYPTOCURRENCY CAN BE LOST. PLEASE MAKE SURE THIS IS SAFE**

\. Once your wallet is set up, you can start using it to securely store and manage your crypto assets!
